What is Sambal Warisan?

Sambal is a chili or paste typically made from the mixture of a variety of chili peppers with secondary ingredients such as shrimp paste, garlic, ginger shallot scallion, palm sugar and lime juice.  Warisan or heritage means that features belonging to the culture of a particular society. Sambal is an integral part of Malaysian cuisine. People can have it for breakfast with nasi lemak, or with mixed rice dishes for lunch and dinner, and sometimes can even use it as a dipping sauce with fruit and vegetables or even with breads and biscuits and many more.
