“ANEKA RASA SAMBAL WARISAN”

Pondok- Pondok Brand HQ started a business in 2016. They started with a sambal bilis lobak and then expanded it by making a variety of flavor of sambal based on good feedback from customers and high demand. Now, after 4 years of operation, they have been able to produce 9 different types of sambal and soon, will produce another 2 more types of sambal. Their market segment focuses on women aged 25 and above, as this product is designed to help all housewives easily to prepare their food with less time. To make this product different from other products, they created the slogan, "Good Food" , " Good Integrity ", which ensures that the quality of food is over 200% and the company can grow more widely to open a conceptual and systematic restaurant branch also ensuring customer satisfaction.

In terms of the sambal manufacturing operation, at the beginning, they made it from home using the owner's mother recipe that does not use preservatives, MSG and shrimp paste. Due to the high demand from the public over time, they have successfully built a factory with financial support from MARDI, FAMA, JPN and the state government which located in Batu Caves. As a result, they were able to produce as many as 200 bottles of sambal in one day. At this stage, they prefer to promote their products on a face-to-face basis as it will give customers more satisfaction to try before buying. Therefore, they prefer promoting their products during exhibition by opening the kiosk. Other than that, they also had a chance promoting their product through TV Al Hijrah. Thus, this product is known all around Malaysia and the top selling products of sambal until now is sambal hijau, sambal belado and sambal udang kedondong. Their hope is that they can sustain this business by expanding their market to the world, while maintaining inherent quality.
